Stained Glass
1856
The east window contains glass depicting three scenes after the Resurrection of Our Lord: in the two left lights are The Maries at the Sepulchre, in the single central light is Christ with Mary Magdaleneand in the right hand two lights are Christ and the Maries; by O'Connor, 1864 (cost £300) and an interesting example of his style at this period: it is much less mediaevalistic than might be expected and seems to ove something to the Germanic representational style such as the east window of St. Paul, Alnwick, designed by Dyce and made by Ainmuller.
