Effigy
14th - 15th Century
In the south-west corner but formerly in the south aisle is the tomb of a knight, said to be that of Sir John Grove who died about 1450. An effigy of about 1350 rests on a tomb-chest with quatrefoil decoration of circa 1450. The effigy of a knight is clad in chain mail, straight legged but vanished below the knees. The costume of quilted gambeson, hauberk of chain mail, defence of scale work and sleeveless surcoat serve to prove that the effigy and the chest are not associated. The salvaging of the Grove tomb from the ruined south aisle was carried out by the effort-of William Boys, the local historian.
Tomb (component)
The tomb recess nearest the porch has lost much of its decoration but enough remains to associate it with the tomb at Ickham where en effigy of circa 1345 still exists. The Sandwich tomb lacks the effigy; it does not pierce the wall, is composed of Caen stone and is decorated with six small shields. The arch is ogee headed and is flanked by two crocketted pinnacled posts.

14th Century
Another 14th century gabled tomb recess possesses on ogee outline and a square surround of four-lobed flowers. The frieze around the arch is pierced with a band of small trefoils. It is most elaborate with traces of mural painting surviving and shields above and below the decorated arch. In style, it is close to the monument in the chancel of Folkestone parish church and may have been the work of the same mason. Unfortunately, both figures and many important details are now missing. Boys considered this to be the tomb of Thomas Ellis, Mayor of Sandwich, which would account for the presence of the Sandwich Arms; the Septvans arms arc further evidence in support of the attribution for they refer to a family connection of Ellis. Thomas Ellis founded both the chantry within the church and St. Thomas' Hospital, one traceried window of which survives in the churchyard. He was buried with his wife in St. Peter's in 1390 but the ornament of the tomb appears to be of mid-14th century date. The arch is again ogee headed and is crowned by a finial.

At the west end of the north aisle stands a hexagonal table, the top of which is the inlaid tester of the church's vanished 17th century pulpit.

TOWER CLOCK: by Gillett and Johnson, erected at the Golden Jubilee in 1887. It is the property of the Sandwich Borough Council.
Organ (object)
1967
Two-manual, 1967, by A.E. Davies and Son of Northampton, the property of Sir Roger Manwood's school. It incorporates some of the pipework from the Hobday instrument of 1880.
Font (object)
Octagonal bowl decorated with quatrefoils in circles on a plain octagonal stem. Of the same date as the Victorian restoration of the church.
