19th century a) In chancel, an oak table, in Gothic style with a front of three open bays. b) In south aisle, a plain oak table, (date uncertain).
Pulpit
19th century The body of the pulpit is semi-octagonal and of oak, panels are plain but have quatrefoil decoration above and below. The wide stone plinth is topped with a water-holding moulding and has a plain chamfered base. Steps are stone with an iron and brass handrail.
Lectern
19th / 20th century a) At the chancel step, brass with iron details, a book slope with cut gothic decoration on a circular stem with candle brackets, an annular ring and a circular base with scroll feet and brackets. b) In south chapel, light oak c.1980, book slope on square stem with stopped chamfers and a cruciform base with brackets.
Font (component)
20th century The font is of Caen stone and in 13th-century style. The circular bowl is plain and stands on a circular stem with attached shafts with roll- and hollow-moulded caps and bases. The plinth and step are both octagonal. The domed cover is made of oak and has a handle in the form of an iron ring. It was given in memory of Thomas Fredrick Jemmett d.1936 and Caroline (his wife) d.1935 (c.1936).
Stained Glass (window)
19th century The stained glass is by Fredrick Preedy and dates from the 1880’s. It is not of the first quality and some lights are faded. a) Chancel, window I, seven scenes in three lights depicting the Crucifixion and the surrounding events, in memory of William Hall d.1876. Window sII, two lights, the Miracle at Cana and Christ in the Temple, in memory of Blanche Maria Townend Bullen. Window sIII, two lights, the Presentation of Christ at the temple and the Adoration of the Magi, in memory of William Thomas Townend Hall. b) Nave, window wI, three lights depicting, Moses, Christ and Elijah, in memory of Elizabeth Shepherd Hall d.1883. c) South aisle, sIX, two lights depicting Christ as the Good Shepherd and Christ with the Children, in memory of George Echlin Read d.1879.
Plaque (component)
19th / 20th century a) In chancel, brass plaque, “This church was erected by Elizabeth Shepherd Hall to the glory of God and in memory of her husband William Hall of Syndale 1881”. b) In nave, brass plaque in memory of John Andrew Osborne (Vicar 1930-64) d.1972 and Margaret Ethel (wife) d.1988. Brass plaque in memory of George Read (First Vicar) d.1884. Brass plaque in memory of Nathaniel Jones Milner Stuart Amies (Second Vicar) d.1906. c) In south aisle, white marble plaque on black ground in memory of William Owen (Vicar) d.1921 and Eleanor (wife) d.1921.
Organ (component)
20th century The organ is dated 1905, has two manuals and is by J W Walker & Sons.
Pew (component)
19th century The pews are made of pine and have moulded top rails, shaped ends and panels containing vertical boarding; every second pew end is fitted with a brass umbrella stand.
Stall
19th century a) The choir stalls are made of oak and are of the bench type with shaped ends, moulded top rails and panels with vertical boarding. b) The clergy stall follows the same pattern but the front is decorated with quatrefoils and foliage.
Rail
19th century The communion rails span the chancel and consist of two sections of moulded wooden rail supported on a pair of turned wooden supports in Early English style with an intermediate support in the form of a twisted brass upright with triangular brackets containing scroll work.
Inscribed Object
20th century The names of the fallen of both World Wars are inscribed on an oak board.
