Dressed limestone, tiled roofs. Cruciform plan with aisles, south vestry. North and west porches” The chancel, renamed St Andrew's Chapel after the closure of a chapel of the same name in Newtown (west of Tisbury) in 1975.

St John the Baptist, Tisbury is a Grade 1 Listed Building. It is described in the Listing Text as:

The church is the largest, the oldest and the most architecturally significant of the three in Tisbury.
